Sidney began as a dancer working on commercials and music videos, and quickly transitioned to acting, with roles on series and films like iZombie & Bang Bang Baby. She was introduced to production while working as a commercial coordinator, and within months was invited to be the B-unit producer on Drake’s short film Jungle. Building on that experience Sidney wrote, produced and acted in (rough cut) -- a short film exploring sexual politics on set. (rough cut) premiered at TIFF, was selected as a Vimeo Staff Pick, and screened at the MoMA NYC in association with The Future of Film is Female.

In recent news… Sidney produced air head & Deflated, two of the first films to use OpenAI's text-to-video model Sora, and is currently producing shylo, an animated feature directed by creative collective shy kids. At shy kids, Sidney leads the studio’s business growth, strategy, and day-to-day operations while also collaborating creatively as a producer, writer, and performer.
